Interior Designer
Sticks + Stones is an award winning boutique firm based in Canmore, Calgary and Kelowna which brings together the practice of Architecture, Interior Design and Home Couture. Our group of talented individuals enjoy what we do as we all are committed to success. We are looking for an Interior Designer for our Kelowna and Canmore office.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates, delegates and leads project specific interior design, custom home design, residential and all commercial applications
- Prepares project programming, space planning and design concepts
- Responsible to meet or exceed all local authority planning criteria and requirements, bylaws, building codes and statues
- Plan and prepare all required construction documentation, including specifications and schedules, as well as innovative solutions to internal procedure
- Responsible to maintain design timelines as indicated in the project schedules
- Responsible for design solutions that are responsive to construction budgets
Education
- Degree or Diploma – Interior Designer or Interior Design Technologist from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5+ years of experience
- Current NCIDQ certificate holder would be an asset
- Proven ability using AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office
- Advanced understanding of the design and construction process
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Building Codes
- Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor team members
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Leed AP would be an asset
