The design intent was to provide a beautiful & functional ‘canvas’ for Western Canadian artwork, where users could partake in the overall experience of the gallery. Form Viewing art, to seeing the process of the art consultants, to watching artists work in residence.

The materials were curated to reflect the local environment by utilizing solid fir timbers and black slate with the juxtaposition with modern linear lines.
