Mountain Bohemian: Soaking in Serenity

Our client purchased a central Canmore home with a tricky, compartmentalized Ensuite bathroom…complete with glass-block walls, but no bathtub and only a single-sink vanity. Two items that were high priorities on the renovation wish-list.

We reconfigured the space to include a spacious walk-in closet, semi-private toilet enclosure, a dual-sink vanity and storage tower, a steam shower and luxurious soaker tub. As walls came down and natural light spilled into the space, the transformation was striking.

A bright and layered materials palette envelops the room’s centerpiece – the freestanding tub. Wallpaper backed niche shelves allow for curated storage and serve as a peek-a-boo feature when the barndoor is open. We played with a mix of metals in the lighting, plumbing and hardware package and thoughtfully selected one-of-a-kind after-market mirrors to layer in that mountain boho, boutique hotel charm. After a long day, the space serves to relax in serenity.
